Although production on the song was begun in 2018, the feeling of “saudade” seems particularly pertinent in “The Time of Corona.” Digging deep into her archives, her past, and her own spirit, Lua asks herself questions about the innocence of childhood, aroused by a sense memory. “I was raised on Long Island, New York, and we went to the Atlantic Ocean beaches frequently.
